Flight Instructor
Career path pilots will continue to achieve their Flight Instructor Certificate. As a Certified Flight Instructor (CFI), you will be qualified to teach Private Pilot and Commercial Pilot students. Flyaway Flight Training is always looking for great instructors and we love hiring our own motivated and eager students.
A flight instructor student reviews all maneuvers of private pilot and commercial pilot certificates, except that they fly from the right seat and must learn to talk about what they are doing with instructional knowledge as they fly the airplane. They are also required to receive training in spin recovery.
If a student is planning on the flight instructor path, we will help them prepare for it while training for Commercial. Another 10-20 hours may be needed to perfect the maneuvers from an instructional standpoint.

- Hold a commercial pilot certificate with instrument rating
- Pass 100 question written knowledge test
- Pass 50 question fundamentals of instructing written test
- Receive an endorsement from your instructor for the practical test
- Receive an endorsement stating you received spin training
- Pass an oral and flight exam with a Designated Pilot Examiner
