Flight Review / Instrument Proficiency Check
Flyaway Flight Training offers Flight Reviews in 3-hour lessons. We’ll spend 1 hour on the ground covering regulations, airspace, flight planning and more. We will then spend at least 1.0 flying. We will review Private or Commercial pilot maneuvers and be sure you leave with 3 takeoffs and landings to keep your 90-day currency valid. Flyaway caters flight reviews around the pilot’s weak spots and particular subjects they want to work on. Flight Reviews are a flat $400 rate for both instructor and airplane rental. This assumes you have been an active pilot and can review in 3 hours with 1.5 hours in the plane. Any further flight training will be at normal rates.
Flyaway also offers Instrument Proficiency Checks. IPCs can be completed in a minimum of two 3-hour lessons. One lesson will be spent reviewing approach plates and procedures before flying up to 4 approaches in the local area. The second lesson will be spent reviewing flight planning, filing a flight plan, opening a flight plan, and completing a cross-country flight with another 2 approaches. Upon completion of an IPC with Flyaway, you will have flown 6 approaches, intercepted and tracked courses, and performed holding procedures.
